Jim Challenger resolved UIMA-3012.
----------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
New '-s' flag added to start_ducc that means 'single user mode'. All this does
is bypass checks to ensure ducc_ling permissions will allow identity switch,
which is not needed or even useful in 'single user mode'.
> DUCC Setup difficulties running ducc_ling in single-user mode.

> Current start-up scripting attempts to insure ducc_ling has ownership
> "root.ducc", the setuid bit on, and permissions 750.
> When running in single-user mode this checking creates unnecessary
> complications as, by definition (DUCC's definition), single-user mode means
> everything is run under the same credentials as the (non-root) user that
> starts DUCC.
> A new flag to 'start_ducc' should be added that means "permit single user
> mode". This should bypass the ducc_ling checks and eliminate the need for
> special ducc_ling setup in single-user mode.
