I suggest to use the lightbulb icons from the famfamfam icon set
(http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/):
* lightbulb_add.png
* lightbulb_off.png
I also added key listeners to quickly apply the type/annotation selection
patterns by pressing enter.
I've tried to add comments to the sources where necesssary but documentation
has still to be done.
