As long as the types are equivalent, that shouldn't be a problem, right?
uimaFIT tends to have duplicate type declarations, in particular in aggregate
descriptions. I did some methods belonging to "internal uimaFIT API" to remove
duplicates from descriptors, e.g.:
org.apache.uima.fit.internal.DescriptionUtils.consolidateAggregate(AnalysisEngineDescription,
ResourceManager)
