Hi Alekhya, Me along with some of my batchmates completed a project using OpenNLP with UIMA to extract trafffic details from twitter feeds. You can get an idea about the project from [1]. If you want to checkout some code use[2],[3]. [3] is a blog of friend of mine which is exactly what you are looking for containing details on how to write an annotator and so on using OpenNLP
