I wrote (now already several times) combinations of rules with string lists and
MARKFAST together with some fixing rules/AEs in order to project certain
information within a document. For example: I found a concept using an external
dictionary/ontology, then I identify possible abbreviations using ruta rules in
the local context of the concept. Then, I create an concept annotation with the
same feature values (ids) for each occurrence of the abbreviation. Normally,
the abbreviation should already be covered by the synonym of the terminology,
but there are always missing ones or ad-hoc abbreviations that can only be
identified with the context. Concepts are only one example and I applied this
technique also for two other use cases.
There should be a better support within ruta for this.
