Peter Klügl commented on UIMA-4581:
-----------------------------------
This is already supported by strictImport which is currently deactivated.
> Ruta: resolve short names also using the overall imports of the script
> ----------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: UIMA-4581
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-4581
> Project: UIMA
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Components: ruta
> Affects Versions: 2.3.1ruta
> Reporter: Peter Klügl
> Assignee: Peter Klügl
> Fix For: 2.4.0ruta
>
>
> Here's the situation:
> AAE
> - ruta script with ruta.type1, contains rules using type1
> - some other analysis engine with ae.type1
> The ruta script will never know of the other analysis engine...
> We had this problem initially when we introduced the aliasing, but its still
> occurs if we do not want to adapt the ruta script. It should however be
> possible to resolve the correct short name using the imports of the script:
> use the type that is known. Maybe I missed something... at least this issue
> should be investigated.
