I'm thinking a new UIMA web page in the "development" section would be helpful, which captures the insights / learnings / techniques around the move of some of the projects (uimaFIT for now) to GIT.
I'm thinking the page might include a table, with maybe 4 columns: column 1: a goal / task column 2: how this is done via SVN column 3: how this is done via GIT/GitHub column 4: comments/discussion/comparison/etc. Richard, since you have the most experience with this, perhaps you could do something like this? -Marshall
