When job

ducc_submit -f /home/ducc/ducc_runtime/examples/simple/1.job --log_directory 
/gsa/abcgsa/home/d/e/degenaro/ducc/log 

is dispatched to the JP node, the automounted filesystem may take "too long" to 
mount, causing ducc_ling to incorrectly think that it must create the log 
directory.
