Hai-Son Nguyen commented on UIMA-6055:
--------------------------------------
I propose breaking up the import insertion process and use a check on the
features to motivate adding the imports so they appear as needed.
> JCasGen adds unused imports if class has no new features

> In the JCasTypeTemplate class, the need for the following 3 imports:
> * *import* java.lang.invoke.CallSite;
> * *import* java.lang.invoke.MethodHandle;
> * *import* org.apache.uima.cas.impl.TypeSystemImpl;
> were added to enable code added when new features are coded into the class.
>
> In classes without new features will cause these import statements to
> generate unused import warnings:
> like "The import XXX is never used"
