OK, for now, the best thing is to un-install / remove UIMA 3.1.1, and install
the latest in the 2.x.x series - then the examples in the getting-started
should work.
When someone gets some time and energy, we'll get the getting-started stuff
updated, probably 2 versions - one for version 2.x.x. and one for version 3.x.x.
