Richard Eckart de Castilho commented on UIMA-6265: -------------------------------------------------- [~pj.fanning] FYI So, I have had a look at the SOAP adapter module and at the old discussions around dropping SOAP and possibly also jVinci support from UIMAv3. As far as I can see, the SOAP adapter is not being used anywhere. The CPE uses jVinci, but has no dependency on the SOAP adapter. So it would appear that the SOAP adapter could only be used programmatically. Having had a look at the documentation, I can hardly imagine that nowadays anybody would still set it up. Thus, I'm going to look into removing it from the UIMA Java SDK v3 codebase. I'll keep jVinci around for the time being. > Drop SOAP support from UIMAv3 > ----------------------------- > > Key: UIMA-6265 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-6265 > Project: UIMA > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Transport Adapters - SOAP, Vinci > Reporter: Richard Eckart de Castilho > Assignee: Richard Eckart de Castilho > Priority: Major > Fix For: 3.3.0SDK > > > Does anybody know if we still need JVinci and SOAP these days? -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.20.1#820001)
