yes, the source and binaries must be clearly separated, as binaries
are not part of the an Apache release.
Ideally in separate folders - if you look at Flex for example:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/flex/flexjs/0.5.0/
that folder only has the source releases, the binaries are in a subfolder.
