Remember that you must vote on the release candidate that is cut from the VCS, not a tag inside it or some such. The RM must prepare a source-only archive that you vote on and approve, otherwise the IPMC will throw it right back at you again. You can of course make convenience packages that are distributed with binary files, but that is not a part of the actual release vote as such.
