Hello all, Damien has just committed (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UNOMI-185) in a branch an optimization for the aggregation queries that can be very useful to perform high-frequency aggregations on past events. It can be used to, for exemple, retrieve aggregations on event properties to build personalization. The difference under load is quite significant in our testing.
Because of this I think it would be interesting to have this improvement as part of the 1.3.0 release. I would be willing to restart the release process and manage all the work to redo the release but I just wanted to make sure everyone is ok with this. Also, by doing this at this time, we avoid requiring the IPMC (Incubator PMC) to vote on potentially another release just after the 1.3.0 (for example a 1.3.1) that would contain this change. If there are no objections I would like to therefore to stop the release process here, merge the changes committed by Damien (I have already reviewed them and they are minimal), and restart the release process immediately. Please give me some feedback on this as quickly as possible because I would like to get working on this as soon as possible. Best regards, Serge...
