Thanks for the detailed mail. Enthusiasts like myself can really learn a
lot from those details.

I did a fresh checkout and build, the following was observed:

Could this be related to your point 5. 'downgraded from AppleJavaExtensions
1.5 to 1.4'. ?

On eclipse I see:
"Multiple markers at this line
- The method setAboutHandler(new AboutHandler(){}) is undefined for the
type
 Application
- com.apple.eawt.AboutHandler cannot be resolved to a type"

Maybe it is something wrong with my local environment. I will let you know
when I confirm it.
