I completely agree with this.  It really isn’t 2.0.  It is just an upgrade of 
those parts of the system.

Hey guys,  
We talked about this a bit more at Apache Con this week. Since our current 
"2.0" is really a new Entity Manager and Relation Manager impl, maybe we should 
merge this upgrade into the 1.0 code branch? It seems like the "2.0" branch 
will become a new version of 1.0 anyway. This way we can ensure that big 
submissions like this make it into master as soon as possible.  

Thoughts?
