Hi Alex, It looks like there is some unexpected return output from the stat command that the vcl code is detecting.
Looking at line 69 in http://pastebin.com/PFr80p43 it's returning key_read: uudecode AAAAB3NzaC1yc2EAAAADAQABAAAAgmI I think this is an ssh error and not a stat cmd output error. What does your ssh_config file look like? Does it contain the setting "ServerAliveInterval 15" If not you could try to add this then try again.
