Joseph Fischetti commented on VCL-1041: --------------------------------------- Andy, All good points. I know I'm not part of the design team, but if it's low enough priority and nobody else is into working on it, I'll work on the things you noted and submit as patches. Agreed that there's little concern for code injection, admins have admin access already, and there is already a method for escaping the SQL query. I can use a check for the existence of an html opening tag to dictate whether or not an email is sent as html. How high of a priority is user preference? I've noticed that many of the emails that I'm subscribed to have been getting away from that option in the last few years anyway. As for wysiwyg, does dojo have a provision for it? I'm not extremely familiar with everything that it provides. > Customer facing email notifications are ugly > -------------------------------------------- > > Key: VCL-1041 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VCL-1041 > Project: VCL > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: vcld (backend), web gui (frontend) > Environment: All > Reporter: Joseph Fischetti > Priority: Minor > Labels: easyfix > Fix For: 2.5.1 > > Attachments: front-end.diff, utilspm-changes.diff > > > By default, emails sent from the management node don't have any special > formatting.
