This thread is to discuss the code readiness of the Apache VCL 2.5 release.
I recently made a few minor commits to fix mostly cosmetic things and minor improvements to esoteric features. There's one fairly small backend issue left which I'll resolve today (https://issues.apache.org/jir a/browse/VCL-1056). Once this issue is resolved, the backend is ready as far as I'm concerned. I posted a question about Docker on the dev list in June ( http://vcl.markmail.org/thread/ki3ykqljaumh6ood). Since there was no reply, I'll assert it won't be included in 2.5. Is there anything remaining codewise for the web frontend, database, or installation scripts? I also just started a thread entitled "U.S. export control laws regarding VCL's use of cryptography" (http://markmail.org/thread/5ixh4xabs24stwqr). The result of the other thread may impact the release timing. Please use the other thread for all comments related to its topic. Thanks, Andy
