Accommodate dbfo elements

I have a really long table that ends up being larger than one pdf page. A
search of the docbook xsl documentation mentions that I should be able to
insert <?dbfo keep-together="auto" ?> into my table element so that it will
page break appropriately. However, as far as I can tell, dbf ignores or does
not process this element. Is it possible to use dbfo elements as described in
the docbook xsl documentation (
http://www.sagehill.net/docbookxsl/PageBreaking.html ) with dbf?
