Note that there was the option to code a small ad-hoc pool to avoid adding a new dependency, or to shade some classes from commons-pool2, but IMHO we can in fact make it an explicit dependency because there are several other places where some legacy code could be replaced by pools from the commons. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
