That is correct [~tmortagne] . If such a test is needed, the one above can be
added to the project's unit tests.
This might also be the result of the change introduced in PR
https://github.com/apache/velocity-engine/pull/45

VELOCITY-952 of it possibly breaking current functionality but was dismissed as
an edge case. If this is the edge case that was thought of, then this probably
needs to be escalated into more than just a weird use case.
