Hi all,

https://communityovercode.org/

I am reaching out to you as your mentor and as track chair of the „Industrial
IoT“ track.
This year we’re setting the focus a bit more to real world industrial use-cases
because in the past the track did seem to attract more the type of „fun
projects“.
We would like to not only make it interesting for someone to attend the track,
but also for the ones presenting it.

With all the AI stuff in the industry being around I thought that possibly an
Industrial use-case talk from Apache Wayang could be a good fit?
What do you think?

Also if you’re worried that the costs for travelling to the conference would
exceed your budget. For these cases Apache has TAC (Travel Assistance
Committee).
It’s aimed to support people that otherwise could not afford travelling to
Apache events. https://tac-apply.apache.org/
If you are selected, they cover travel, accomodation, conference fees, food and
drinks in exchange for help running the conference.
This is not only for speakers, but also for people wanting to addend and meet
with the rest of the community.

Also be aware, if you are thinking of submitting something, applying for TAC or
just attending on your own. Be sure to start the process of applying for a VISA
as soon as possible.
Recently the processing time required for getting a visa have grown so long,
that you might not be able to get one if you start applying later.

Would love to see some contributions and/or meet some of you in Minneapolis
later this year.

Chris
