Well I am actually confused at this point as to what we're going to use the staging server for in that I *thought* we'd use it after the final decision was made on the (read a single) design. But anyway, that comment made, Matthew...see below

Hi
As I noted on [EMAIL PROTECTED], we have a staging server. I'm still setting
up (read: totally screwing things up) the look directory and projects,
but would like to give you on this list write access to look/www and the
projects.

The CVS is: sc40.sfo.collab.net with the various projects being as now,
eg, www/www/ for the "www" project, look/www/ for look, and the relevant
directories in look are the same now, look/www/overrides/, etc.

I will try to have this ready by tomorrow or so. Meanwhile, I'll add
you all to the staging server, using the same userid you have now with
OOo. We do not use SSH2 on this, so things are much easier.

Louis

Thanks very much Louis... One question though: We can only test one theme
at a time, yes? Or is there some way to test multiple themes?

what do you mean by this? Assuming you have cvs access, you can put as many alternatives out there as you like. Just be careful you don't clobber someone else's work. I mean we can look at multiple HP designs much as we've done already I guess...but again, I'm confused. My assumption was...

* a one design would basically be chosen by Feb. 11, and
* whoever was interested would work not only to honing that single design but experimenting with say getting our current nav system to more or less work with the new design

Does this make sense?

Again, thank you for your time and effort - I hope that we can make it worth your while.

Kind Regards,
