Thank you for offering further feedback and creating an additional template based on Maarten's design.
The main difference between your and Maarten's design, is that we are attempting to remove a lot of the clutter from the home page.
For example, we will be replacing the current "Development" tab with "Contributing", "Coming Events" will be moved to the Marketing Project, and new visitors to the site will be guided by the "New to OpenOffice.org" page to utilise the resources located by clicking on the "Support" tab, and so on.
Anyway, see the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list. As well as the layout, we need to comply with SourceCast, which is why we have the separate list to work on the technical aspects of changing the home page and minimising the effects on subsequent pages.
