Exactly. Emily's page was very carefuly made so the download button did not 
have 
to be huge to be impossible to miss. She used contrast, she thought about where 
to put it, she added an intuitive arrow. You get it.

Amazingly enough, no. This site was just tested by some users (Tamblyne and 
Jean) 
who have vision problems (inc contrast) and they were surprised at how well 
they 
could read the page. This text is actually a lot easier to read than the much 
bigger text fron the other design.

Emily chose colors that contrast well, she was careful to put the text in the 
region with darker blue (for the higher up text) with the exception of the 
"what's new in 2.0" and "New to OOo?" links. But she compensated by making them 
bold, so they work out well.

Emily's page really is far superior.
