Scott - I think there's a bug in your program - it's throwing out lots of:
<<<<<<< index.html <<<<<<< index.html <<<<<<< index.html <<<<<<< index.html <<<<<<< index.html
It's not with the FAQ Spider. If you check the page through Version control, there is no problem. It must have occured when the page was rendered the first time. I have submitted a new page with a slight change, and we'll see if it gets fixed.
On FAQS:
At a site wide level we have http://www.openoffice.org/faq.html plus in the directory http://www.openoffice.org/FAQ/ there are 12 lower level FAQs.
Then there are project specific FAQs: http://documentation.openoffice.org/faqs/index.html http://user-faq.openoffice.org/new-faq http://api.openoffice.org/faq.html http://udk.openoffice.org/faq.html http://xml.openoffice.org/faq.html http://dba.openoffice.org/FAQ/FAQ.html plus no doubt others I don't know about
Which of these are you trying to replace?
Basically, all of them. The User-FAQ was started as a conglomeration of ALL the different faqs across multiple projects. The site is maintained by going to http://www.oooauthors.com and added and removing FAQ items from there.
CPHennessy started the User-FAQ project to conglomerate all the various FAQs into one searchable area, that can be maintained easily. What you see under the User-FAQ/new-faq/ area is an automatted script that pulls from oooauthors.org at specified intervals.
Thanks - John

Hope everyones day is going good so far.
I have been working on a spider program that will update the User-FAQ site. You can see what I have at http://user-faq.openoffice.org/new-faq/. (You may have seen it in a couple of the mailing lists as well, I have been talking about it for a little bit.)
I was wondering what it would take to add User FAQ below the FAQ in the Help Section along the Left Hand side of the screen. It would help with visibility of the User-FAQ project, as well as point people towards this area.
The spider program can be run from a CRON job so we don't have to worry about the site getting out of date from OOoAuthors.
Further ideas are most welcome.
Thanks
