Well, the easiest thing to to ist to look for a page that in your
opinion needs some love. Then drop a short notice that you want to work
on that page (maybe indicating your proposal for that page) on this list
and start working on it.

You can also help in improving the web-appearance of the german-lang
project. Maintainers for specific pages are wanted as well..

Sounds good :-)

The website redesign affects mainly the "static" areas of the page (the
banner, the tabs) and the frontpage (www.openoffice.org)

The current status can be seen here: https://www.sc40.sfo.collab.net/
Basically this redesign is done, however there are still many pages you
can work with.

You may have read the post about the new?-page. This is a very important
page (that only exists as a draft yet)

See this thread:
http://website.openoffice.org/servlets/BrowseList?list=sc40&by=thread&from=835724

But basically you can choose any page you can improve, drop a short
notice at the relevant mainling-list and upload your suggestion
somewhere.

No, the tabs are "final".

Well - look out for pages you don't like. If a maintainer is listet,
mail the maintainer your suggestion/improvement.

If you can come up with some nice Icons for various topics, these are
welcome as well (see http://www.openoffice.org/contributing.html for one
of the few pages that use some icons)

HTH,
ciao
Christian
