Hello Mathias, et al.

Have been lurking and as I am today installing the forum software at the new user.services site I thought I would ask:

How can I best work together with what you are all doing?

FYI, I have reviewed the mailing list and gone over the relevant pages on the wiki. What would the preferred way to the folks working on the new user.services site ( forum ) to keep you up to date with what we are looking at doing?

Thanks

I am curious, do we collect such website redesign proposals -- for discussion and inspiration?

Shall we start a wiki page for that?

uh...perhaps you overlooked Louis's post of 9/4/2007 (go to the archives if you don't have it)

We ALREADY have a wiki going for this at...

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/User_Pages_Requirements

Both Maarten and I have posted "ideas" to this.

It's entitled User Pages but the the intent is "discussion" on the site design/layout itself.

Heh...perhaps an additional "to do" would be to somehow much better integrate the wiki with the main site. ;}

Anyway, I appreciated the cross post from Nikash though the design was somehow cut off for me.

So...I suggest we ONLY use this list for notifications of updates to ideas/designs posted to the wiki, or perhaps discussion on what has been done there. It is rather difficult to keep tract of this cross-posting environment for most folks I think.

One of very first tasks, in my opinion, is how to better integrate technologies like normal web (the current site), the wiki, and the new forum....ai yi yi. Yes, the dev site can not do this alone, it needs to be a community effort.

cheers,
Matthias
