Not to an absolute newbie, which is as I've already tried to explain is where we will get our largest increase in downloads from. The Justification we were given for this Homepage upgrade was: "Increase Downloads" We will be unlikely to get a large increase from arrivals who are experienced webusers because the likeliehood is that they know about OOo already. > THAT's the difference. For the Newbie there is none. Show me the ISO standard for icons, there is none, simply a bunch of vague suppositions. > > ciao > Christian However it is a moot point, I posted the above back on Saturday and as Kay noted in the mail following, I've been outvoted on it, I made my opinion known, it wasn't what the consensus wanted, the consensus is icons, I accepted that two days ago in this thread and now we have moved on! So let's sort the icons, I like Randy's version. Also, I would like to reiterate my question from earlier could some one please help with the css on Andre's "why" page in tryouts. It would be really good to get that live at the same time as the new homepage Cheers GL -- Graham Lauder, OpenOffice.org MarCon (Marketing Contact) NZ http://marketing.openoffice.org/contacts.html INGOTs Moderator New Zealand www.theingots.org.nz GET DRESSED : GET OOOGEAR Gear for the well dressed OOo Advocate www.ooogear.co.nz --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
