Hi there!
On http://test.openoffice.org under the tab "Change Language(en)"
there is the text:
OpenOffice.org is available in many different languages. You may want to
browse a localized edition of this website.
I think we should change the wording there because it gives the wrong
impression. It´s simply not the case that we have the same set of
webpages available in just a bunch of different languages.
What we do have is native language communities and yes they do sometimes
translate some but not all available english webpages but they do also
provide own unique web content in their language or do provide OOo
templates for their languages, organize translation and QA work offer
special tips and tricks for language specific stuff etc. etc.
Perhaps we could choose something like:
OpenOffice.org is available in many different languages. You might want
to visit the webpages created by one of our many native language
communities.
or something similar.
Kind regards,
Bernd Eilers
