Can someone please test it in IE7 (and IE8 if you have it). If it comes back OK, I can make the OOoWiki skin the default this weekend (simple change in the LocalSettings.php file).

Which IE8, I think it has like 3 different style renderers?

To be honest I don't know about the different renderers..

What I have done is simply compare a few pages using XP Sp2 with ie8 (8.0.6x Beta) and FF3 rc2 using the OOoWiki skin.

Using ie8 I also switched back and forth between ie7 compatibility mode on and off.

So far, and I have browsed maybe 12 or so pages with what I figured to be a good mix ( tables, some nested, code listings, graphics..etc ) , there appears to be very little difference between the two browsers. None that I would call a problem, just the normal slight differences in font weights and sizing...but they pages rendered on the screen are oh so close to each other I would say it would be a go.

Then I tried to edit a page and here I got into a bit of trouble using ie8.

FYI on a 1680x1050 display in full screen mode

In ie8 mode - each key stroke creates a 'jitter' and placing a tick mark in the 'minor change' radio button control updates the editor display causing the width of the edit region to become only 50% of the display area, clicking save then returns the edit region to the full display region width..very odd (fairly certain this is a ie8 beta issue, but could not reproduce it when editing posts at another web site..there where other problems there however)

Switched to ie7 emulation mode using ie8 and all those problems go away.

Other then that the only problem, and this is rather picayune: the header when displayed full screen on this monitor at 100% zoom opens up a small gap on the light blue wave using either browsers. To see it here is a snap of the header, http://www.oucv.org/download/oooWiki_skin_header_fullage_1680x1050.png

So, for what it's worth it looks pretty good to me and if folks report problems with ie8 it appears that simply turning ie7 compatibility mode should clears them up.
