Ivan et all--
Well, hmmmm...I think what I've already got going is what we should go
with. I have been playing around with the checkbox idea and am pretty
close to gettign that to work, but....this leaves the onus of WHAT
version of java up to the user. Currently, we require at least 1.3.1,
but will shortly be requiring 1.5 as I understand it. So, to just allow
allow the choice of choosing no jre from the main page does not provide
java version checking.
My thoughts are that the more casual user will typically use the home
page download whereas more advanced/experienced user might be more
inclined to choose other download options.
Anyway, for the time being, after the refreshes that Ivan plans to
implement are done, we should just go with what I've got broking and
deal with perhaps *better/cleaner* ways for java detection after that.
