I wonder if this is something we could use somewhere.

With a static site and highly unanimated i wonder if this friend connect services from google and/or facebook can add new light to our plain boring site.

So what does friend connect do?
Basically you can turn HTML pages into a commenting site where users using OpenID/Google/Facebook signup can login and leave comments on any page.

i can see this useful on our API sites where there is no samples of the code services and functions.

I know there is at least one Social Bookmarking extension that adds Digg, Reddit etc. links so people can quickly add a Wiki page to these sites. This isn't quite what you've proposed here though.

Extensions that extend the commenting features in MediaWiki are... well, we need to think carefully about implementing them on the OOo Wiki. Spam is a problem on the Talk: pages right now. Any increase in the current Spam levels adds to the Admin workload of keeping it clean. I'd like to be sure that comment enabling extensions don't contribute to the Spam volume.

If there is a specific Extension that you are interested in testing out, let everyone know what it is, and add it to the list on this page:
