Just looking over the new Main Page... a few thoughts. - We have two language "bars"... one on the right, and the "In other languages" on the left nav. We really should pick just one and go with it. The languages listed on the right is incomplete... there are a lot more languages that the main landing page is translated into. I would suggest we drop the one on the right.
An idea... we might be able to do something creative with this layout by using Dynamic Page Lists (DPL... see http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:DynamicPageList which is installed/available already in the OOo Wiki).
