Hi Tora, *
thanks for your investigation - I thought about something a conflict
between in-file mimetype and extension, but I don't know how to change
the "real" mimetype from "application/x-zip" to
"application/vnd.openoffice.org/extension".
I could imagine other applications besides MediaWiki turning out to have
problems with such a mismatch.
Is there an easy way to change the mimetype while creation of an
extension (probably the same with all XML-based OOo files)?
Best regards
Bernhard

The uploaded file had an extension .oxt, but the command "file -bi"
returned application/x-zip while MediaWiki expected
application/vnd.openofficeorg.extension as defined in the file
includes/mime.types .
So, they did not match. Therefore, MediaWiki rejected the file saying
"The file is corrupt or has an incorrect extension. ..."
