You're not going to break anything with this Template.
Good to know. I remember (if I remember correctly) two times the wiki
being down due to some strange things in templates.
That can happen if someone gets a little to creative and builds in a
endless recursion loop... eg a template calls itself.
I already got that ;-) It is more about if there is a way to
automatically apply the template to all the pages which are currently
marked Category:Community_Council. We have many single pages (e.g. many
IRC log pages) where this section would make life easier ... so I would
be glad to know how I can make my life a bit easier (a.k.a. free up my
time to work on other things) when applying this template.
However, thanks a lot for your help! The CC wiki slowly gets better :-)
This can be done using a Wiki Bot. I use pywikipediabot for these kinds
of tasks. There is a Wiki Bot user that is used when there are lots of
changes to be made., or you can use the pywikipediabot on your own user
account. There are some differences between using a Wiki Bot account
and your own. Basically the Wiki Bot user isn't restricted in what it
can do... the User account is, and the record of changes is different
between a Bot user and a regular user account.
The only other option I know of is... manually edit each page that
should use the Template :-)
