Yes, you are right, linking to the main page would be the way to go. Still I would keep the text on the tab "Development Wiki" as the wiki is rather technical and I dont want the unsuspecting enduser to be scared there. There are enduser-relevant topic in the wiki too, but they are already linked to directly. Note how mozilla calls the link "development center" and kde calls it "techbase wiki" on their frontpages.
