That clarification is helpful.

Once you click the button, an attempt is made to send a request to the server.  
While that request is being processed, the buttons are disabled.

Testing with IE11, I have reproduced the problem.  Clicking F12 and going to 
the browser console, I see "'fetch' is undefined".

Looking at the caniuse data: http://caniuse.com/#feat=fetch; I see that it 
works for MS Edge, but not IE.  Or Safari for that matter.

I'll add a polyfill and report back once that is completed.
