I'm Dutch, but live in the US (Seattle) now. My Australian adventures
where a life time ago :-) And NZ is definitively high on my list,
though it might be a few years before I actually make it there.

NIce. Maybe you can open up a nice combining Scala with Wicket. Some
people have been experimenting in that direction already (see
http://technically.us/code for instance).

Yep. But you might want to get paid for it as well, which can be a bit
harder. Most people do open source in their spare time, or as part of
the projects they work if they are consumers of the same project.
