Hey Rob, Out of curiosity: how much time it takes to build Wicket with Gradle vs. with Maven on your machine ?
I had almost working setup with SBT 0.11 for (incremental) compilling of the project because I like Scala (I don't like Ruby/Groovy) but I abandon it because I had to do big efforts for something that comes for free with Maven/Maven plugins. I still prefer Maven even for my Scala projects.
