I don't think this is going to help much. 'arrayPos' is still appended to fieldDescription, so the String is still created (and discarded). We discarded the 'i' entirely and do not update fieldDescription. IMHO, [write:3] doesn't tell you anything, as it is related to the serialization internals of whatever object you are trying to check. Best regards, Emond
