Hi all,

I found the top navigation and its subnavigation of our site confusing and
cumbersome, and thought it could use a clean-up. You can see the result
here,
in the site's current look and with today's content:

https://dashorst.github.io/wicket-site/structure/

The top navigation now consists of:

APACHE WICKET 10.11 LTS DOCS BLOG COMMUNITY ASF GH

- APACHE WICKET goes to the home page
- the version (10.11 LTS) goes to the release lines overview
- DOCS goes to the documentation front page
- BLOG goes to the news archive
- COMMUNITY goes to a page for getting help and contributing
- ASF goes to apache.org
- GH goes to our GitHub repository

Versions
Each major version has its own page under /versions, e.g.
/versions/wicket-10.x
and /versions/wicket-9.x, with its status and support period, Maven
coordinates,
downloads, what's new, its documentation and its release announcements.

Docs
The new documentation, organized by topic and by kind (tutorials, how-to
guides, reference and explanation, following https://diataxis.fr), with
links
to the documentation of each major version.

Blog
Our news archive: articles, major releases and security advisories are
featured, patch releases are listed below them.

Community
Getting help (users list, Slack, Stack Overflow), reporting bugs and
security
issues, and contributing.

Old URLs such as /start/download.html and /start/wicket-10.x.html redirect
to
their new location, and on release day only a data file and _config.yml need
updating.

WDYT?

Martijn
