Hi Prasad , OASIS-style URI/Entity Resolver is an improvement required for Woden there are 3 or 4 JIRA issues pointing out various limitations of URI resolving mechanism also there are some user reported errors related to URI resolving too. By considering those facts i was thinking to post a project idea for GSoC 2011 but I couldn't find time to finalize exact goals and scope of this project. Other than reported issues definitely we can identify various improvements around this area and have high potential to be a good project candidate for GSoC. Once I have free time i will try to finalize this idea.
BTW you also can look into these issues [1] and try to identify goals ,scope and other improvements yourself and its a good starting point to you. If you can post your findings/questions I can help out and also it's a very good way to gather some positive feedback at the very beginning :) Also you need to refer some background materials to get idea about what is a XML catalog and how it's related to Woden.
