This task is to move to use SLF4J for the logging framework for the 1.6
release. We have a dependency on SLF4J via Opensaml2 already, so it doesn't
involve any major changes. With XML Security likely to move to SLF4J in a few
months, we will be able to drop the commons logging dependency altogether.
Another benefit is that SLF4J has good OSGi support.
