Axis2/Java has some code that depends on Woden for the seldom used WSDL 2.0 support and since that spec last revision was in 2007 I doubt this code gets updated much in the future.
I personally have never coded on it but another active Axis2/Java developer in Web Services has, Andreas Veithen. I favor archiving Woden and I will do my part on the Axis2/Java side to try to remove the dep from the main build, now that I am looking at it.
