I agree with your point.

I also had look into this particular issue with Subash. This has failed
because WSRegistryClient has not correctly passed the hostname parameter to
the login method of AuthenticationAdmin. So it has started failing after
the security fix we did by sanitizing the parameters passed into this
method. So this failure was not due to a API change or anything, rather due
to a bug in the WSRegistryClient code which was uncovered by a recent
improvement in AuthenticationAdmin.
