I thought about this thoroughly and we can't rely on file system based
configs for some artifacts we need like gadgets.

I feel it might be helpful for many cases to allow to implement this touch
point in a clean manner. Executing some code is really valuable since lots
of components rely on registry based configurations.

We should think about implementing for a future release, so we can take the
full advantage of p2.
