Hi, org.wso2.carbon.logging.propfile_1.0.0.jar is a fragment bundle created to wrap the log4j.properties file in repository/conf and append to the host bundle org.wso2.carbon.logging. This log4j is used for logging purposes in bundles in repository/components/plugins. The creation of this propfile bundle and copying to dropins happens in org.wso2.carbon.server.extensions.Log4jPropFileFragmentBundleCreator in carbon.server bundle.
The log-level for the DropinsBundleDeployer is set in the internal log4j.properties in org.wso2.carbon.server which is set to DEBUG. Hence the above debug log is printed at carbon startup.
