Today(02/07/2012) in the CSG content hackthon an idea came up to distribute the CSG agent only with ESB by default. If users wants to install CSG agent they can use the p2 repo.
A deployment best practice for CSG would be to have CSG agent installed on ESB and use proxy services which proxying various resources such as REST/SOAP services, web apps or APIs. And those proxies will be published to CSG server. This will help administrators to manage published services at a single point. If required ESB will be able to cluster for heavy loads. The above change was proposed in order to encourage this deployment. I will fix this in current trunk. Rajika
